In the second quarter of 2025, the Dominican Republic's carpooling and ridesharing app market saw significant activity across the top five apps on a unified platform. Here’s a closer look at their performance based on weekly downloads and active users, with insights from Sensor Tower.

inDrive. Save on city rides from SUOL INNOVATIONS LTD started the quarter with weekly downloads of around 16.8K, experiencing fluctuations throughout the period, and concluding at approximately 14.6K. The app’s weekly active users showed a notable increase, climbing from 289.5K to over 407K by the end of June.

Uber - Request a ride maintained a consistent pattern in weekly downloads, ranging from 8.6K to 10.8K. The app's active users fluctuated but remained robust, peaking at 851K in late May before stabilizing around 717K.

DiDi Rider: Affordable rides observed a steady increase in downloads, culminating at nearly 6K at the quarter’s end. However, its active user base saw a decline initially but rebounded to finish the quarter with approximately 82K users.

Uber - Driver: Drive & Deliver experienced relatively stable download numbers, starting at 3.8K and ending close to the same figure. The app’s active users increased from 70.6K to around 75.2K by the end of June.

DiDi Driver: Drive & Earn Cash showed a slight decline in downloads, beginning at 3.1K and closing the quarter at 2.4K. Active users remained fairly consistent throughout, ending the period at approximately 31.7K.
